Celebrating Transitions in our OORP Team: Farewells, Familiar and New Faces

We want to thank Brian Bittings, OORP Patient Navigator, for the 4 years he has spent leading our OORP team.  Brian decided to move on from the Mercer Council mid-October. We wish him all the best in the next chapter of his journey.

We want to congratulate David DeCamp, who has fully transitioned from the role of Assistant Patient Navigator/Recovery Specialist to Patient Navigator following Brian's departure. David brings with him extensive experience related to data collection and analysis as well as personal, lived experience in recovery, a deep and thorough understanding of the treatment/recovery world as well as knowledge in the world of business and IT. David has been an asset to our program since he began part time in February of 2019 and we are so grateful to have him continuing in this new and increased capacity. Dave has been an integral part of our outreach and community engagement/networking efforts and we are excited to see where he takes us as a result of his new role!

The number to engage OORP services has remained the same! Dave can be contacted 24/7/365 at 609-651-1623.

In addition, we want to celebrate Adrienne Petta's transition from Recovery Specialist to part time Assistant Patient Navigator. Adrienne has been with us since November of 2017 and has been invaluable both as a Recovery Specialist and as she stepped up to fill in some of the gaps during this transition. Adrienne brings with her personal and lived experience in recovery as well as a vast and expansive knowledge of treatment and recovery ecosystems. Adrienne will remain with us in a Recovery Specialist capacity, in addition to her Assistant Navigator duties, as her engagement and connections with our community and consumers is irreplaceable!

Last but certainly not least, we'd like to introduce you to our newest OORP Team Member, Trina Nixon. Trina also shows up with experience in various sectors of the treatment and recovery landscape and personal lived experience in the guiding principles of recovery. Trina has specific expertise in the areas of recovery related housing as well as in working with individuals who have become unhomed. These niche areas will certainly help us make ground, as many of the community members we serve do not have access to housing at the time we are connected with them. We are so excited to have Trina on board and look forward to her growing with our agency.

I want to express my gratitude for not only David, Adrienne and Trina, but also the rest of our amazing OORP team, made up of special, competent, caring, ethical and hard working Recovery Specialists, Michael Ziccardi, James Boozan, Jon Macciocca, Stacey Ross and Marc North!  🎉

If you have any questions about OORP, please feel free to reach out or leave us a comment on this post.
We'd love to engage with you.
