Great American Smoke Out, Thursday, November 18th
Thursday is the Great American Smoke Out. This is an opportunity to challenge yourself to live a day without nicotine. This event was established by the American Cancer Association in order to encourage people on their journey to quit. Stemming from a local community event in 1970, it has grown to become the national event it is today. The American Cancer Association reports that "34 million American adults still smoke cigarettes, and smoking remains the single largest preventable cause of death and illness in the world. Smoking causes an estimated 480,000 deaths every year, or about 1 in 5 deaths." Follow Incorruptible.Mercer on Instagram, and go to https://www.tobaccofreenj.com/ for more information.
