June is National Safety Month
In honor of June being National Safety Month, an important safety topic I would like to discuss in this blog pertains to the dangers of drunk driving, drugged driving, and underage drinking. With the official start of summer looming coupled with the anticipation that comes with social isolation lockdown restrictions being eased, people are gearing up for some fun in the sun at various celebrations and events. However, this may spell trouble when they take to the roadways. Alcohol use has increased due to certain stressors brought on by COVID-19. Would you know how to spot a drunk or drugged driver? What are steps you can take after spotting a drunk or drugged driver to alert authorities while at the same time ensuring your safety and the safety of others? The answers to these questions can be found by visiting the "Concerned Citizen" web page on the MADD website. Also included are tips for preventing someone from driving impaired, and the complete 2018 Child Endangerment Report, which is accessible to download.
