M.L.K. Day of Service
On January 20, 2020, the ASYSST staff and two lovely students volunteered for a day of service at the Mercer County Community College(MCCC), James Kerney Campus in celebration of Dr. Martin Luther king Jr.. The day of service began with prayer, followed by a powerful message from Rev. Dr. Alyn Waller and then all the volunteers disbursed into mini groups for the different tasks they volunteered for. There were a number of services to be done on this day, volunteers had the option to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches as part of bagged lunched that would be donated to community, wrapping utensils for the bagged lunches, a book fair, community clean up and last but not least sewing of blankets for the needy, so that during the winter months we can help them stay warm. We had an amazing time fellowshipping with like minded people. It was a blessing to bless others while serving our community.
