Mercer OORP Team Sends Message of Hope And Recovery Amidst Trying Times
The Opioid Overdose Recovery Program (OORP) team has been hard at work during the pandemic, ensuring that the invaluable Recovery Support services typically provided, continue to be available, accessible and effective no matter what challenges and barriers are going on in the world right now.
The Mercer OORP team has worked with 921 individuals to date since March 2017 and has averaged a 70% linkage rate to clinical treatment services, including withdrawal management and medication assisted treatment.During the pandemic, the OORP team conducted remote bedside support services with 65+ individuals, both from Mercer hospitals/emergency departments and community referrals, in addition to providing support for all active clients and outreaching to former clients to re-engage during what has been a difficult time for most, but more significantly for those faced with substance related challenges.
Please see below for a message from our OORP team to hear about how they have been engaged with our community during the pandemic!

What an amazing team!!!
So incredibly proud of this entire team, and the effort it has put forth since the program inception in 2017, and especially during COVID-19. And, the bloopers are absolutely hysterical!
