billionphotos-2500990

From the choices below, can you guess the type of driver (based on vehicle type) responsible for the highest percentage of alcohol-related fatal crashes in 2019? Is it A.) bus driver, B.) car driver, C.) motorcycle driver, or D.) truck driver?

The correct answer is C.) motorcycle driver. Among the alcohol-impaired drivers involved in fatal crashes in 2019, 29% were motorcycle operators (Source: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration NHTSA).

The NHTSA is striving to raise awareness of this issue and combat alcohol-and drug-impaired driving. They are gearing up and ready to launch their Labor Day Impaired Driving High-Visibility Enforcement Campaigns. These campaigns begin on August 18th and run through September 6th.
