Free TIPS training for On Premise service of alcohol being offered March 27th

bartender

The Prevention Coalition of Mercer County and Mercer Council is very pleased to offer a responsible alcohol beverage server training called TIPS on March 27th from 12pm - 5pm at Landmark Americana in Ewing.  It is free to all Mercer County licensed alcohol beverage retailers and their bar/wait staff.  The focus of this evidence-based training is on responsible consumption of alcohol and the prevention of underage drinking.  Participants leave TIPS training prepared to recognize signs fo intoxication; spot underage drinkers and prevent sales to minors; intervene quickly and assuredly in potential problem situations.  By building on an individual's fundamental "people skills", TIPS provides the knowledge and confidence needed to recognize potential alcohol-related problems and how to effectively intervene to prevention alcohol-related tragedies.  Including in the course is a personalized TIPS national certification card (good for 3 years), a course workbook and 2019 ID checking guide.  The training is free, but registration is required, and you must be bar/wait staff in a Mercer County licensed establishment.   Click here to register
